Who is responsible for your data
I am Caleb Colona, the owner of Dig Deep Stewardship, and I am responsible for the information collected through this site. You can reach me at any time at caleb@digdeephealth.com. For privacy law purposes, I act as the data controller for the information described below.
Information you give me
I collect the information you choose to provide, which can include your name and email address when you subscribe to the newsletter or use the contact form, the content of any messages you send me, your answers to interactive tools on the site such as the Hidden Skills Finder quiz, scheduling details when you book a call, and the billing and contact details you enter when you buy a course or product.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, certain information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies. This can include your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, the links you click, and a general, approximate location based on your IP address. I use this to understand how the site is performing and to improve it.
Cookies and tracking technologies
Cookies are small files placed on your device. This site uses a few kinds. Essential cookies keep the site working and secure. Analytics cookies help me see how the site is used. Preference cookies remember your choices, including your cookie choices.
When you first visit, a consent banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies, including analytics. Non-essential cookies are not loaded until you give consent. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the cookie settings on the site, and you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.
Google Analytics
I use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to collect information such as your IP address, the pages you visit, and your general activity on the site. This data is processed by Google, and Google may use it in line with its own privacy policy. Analytics only runs after you accept analytics cookies through the consent banner.
You can learn how Google handles data at policies.google.com/privacy, and you can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites by installing the official browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Other services I use
I rely on trusted third-party services to run the site. Each one processes only the data needed for its job, under its own privacy terms. These include WordPress.com and Jetpack (website hosting, the newsletter, and site statistics), Google Analytics (site usage analytics), Calendly (scheduling calls, which collects your name, email, and booking details), and Gumroad together with Stripe (course and product checkout, which collects your contact and payment information). I do not see or store your full payment card number. Those details are handled directly by the payment processor.
Why I collect your information and my legal basis
I use your information to send the newsletter you signed up for, to reply to your messages, to deliver products and services you buy, to schedule calls, to operate and improve the site, and to keep it secure. Where the law requires a legal basis, such as under the EU and UK GDPR, I rely on your consent for analytics cookies and marketing emails, on the performance of a contract when you buy something, on my legitimate interest in running and improving the site, and on legal obligation where I am required to keep certain records.
How your information is shared
I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. I share it only with the service providers listed above so they can perform their function, and only when required by law, such as a valid legal request, or to protect the rights and safety of the site and its visitors.
How long I keep it
I keep newsletter and contact information for as long as you stay subscribed or until you ask me to delete it, plus a short period afterward for record keeping. Order and payment records are kept as long as needed to meet tax and legal requirements. Analytics data is retained according to the settings in Google Analytics and the hosting tools.
How your information is stored
Your information is stored through the services named above, which apply their own security measures. I take reasonable steps to protect the information I handle, but no method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
The site and its service providers are based in or process data in the United States. If you visit from outside the United States, including the EU, the UK, or Canada, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. You can change your cookie choices through the cookie settings on the site. You can also email me at caleb@digdeephealth.com to ask what information I hold about you, to correct it, or to ask me to delete it.
If you are in the EU or the UK, you have the right under the GDPR to access your data, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how it is used, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you are in California, you have the right under the CCPA and CPRA to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to request access to or deletion of it, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. I do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by California law. You also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.
If you are in Canada, you have the right under PIPEDA to access the personal information I hold about you and to request corrections.
To exercise any of these rights, email me at caleb@digdeephealth.com. I will respond within the time required by the law that applies to you.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Where the law requires it, I treat a recognized opt-out signal as a request to opt out of non-essential tracking.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed to children, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, contact me and I will delete it.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy as the site and the tools I use change. When I do, I will revise the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, I will make a reasonable effort to let subscribers know.
